“How Do We Get More Young Workers Into Construction, Renovation and Building Repairs?”

DATE/TIME:
Thursday, February 17
Westchester Marriott
670 White Plains RdTarrytown, NY

We’ll begin with informal networking and discussion at 5:30 PM.
The main program will begin at 6:00 PM.

Though the demand for construction, homebuilding, remodeling and residential building repairs continues to skyrocket, we continue to see a persistent labor shortage across the country and in New York. The median age is a construction worker in New York is between 41-44, older than the workforce for the state as a whole. With more workers retiring than are being filled by youth, the labor shortage is only widening. That in turn impacts housing availability and affordability.

Our panel of experts will seek to answer one simple question: how do we get more young workers into construction, renovation and building repairs?
