NYSERDA Multifamily Baseline Study Resources/Survey
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is conducting an exciting research study about multifamily building energy use and decision-making. The information collected will be used to design programs that will help you and your tenants save money on your energy bills. You can earn up to $400 per building by participating in the study, with the potential to include multiple buildings depending on location and the number of buildings per property. Multifamily buildings located in New York with 5 or more units are eligible to participate in the study.
You can join the study by completing a survey about your multifamily building’s physical features and equipment types for $100. During the survey you will be asked if you want to participate in a site visit for $150 per building. During the site visit, you have the option to earn $50 for each occupant living unit site visit you help facilitate, for up to two units per building (this step is optional). Finally, property managers who are also financial decisionmakers for their buildings may be selected to complete an additional survey for $50. All incentives will be provided in the form of Amazon e-gift cards.
