BRI Leadership Team Returns for 2026 with Focus on Growth and Advocacy

The re-election of BRI’s officer slate underscores the organization’s confidence in its current leadership as it advances its mission to support and advocate for the Mid-Hudson Region’s building and real estate industries.
“I am deeply honored to be re-elected to a second term as President of the Building and Realty Institute of the Hudson Valley, and proud to continue this important work alongside Stacey Tompkins as Secretary and Christine McCabe as Treasurer,” said Murphy. “This term will be defined by decisive growth—strengthening and expanding our membership, cultivating the next generation of industry leaders, and positioning the BRI for a landmark celebration of its 80 years of impact.”
Murphy brings 18 years of experience as Director of New Project Development at Murphy Brothers Contracting to his continued role as BRI President. A long-time member of the BRI Board of Trustees, he has also served as Chair of the Remodelers Advisory Council (RAC) and previously held the role of Secretary. Known for his collaborative leadership style and strong communication skills, Murphy has focused his presidency on member engagement, advocacy, and strategic growth.
Stacey Tompkins, President and Owner of Tompkins Excavating, continues her service as BRI Secretary. Since assuming leadership of her company in 2013, Tompkins has grown it into a woman-owned, full-service excavation and site development firm. She is a leading advocate for women in construction and was instrumental in launching the BRI’s Hudson Valley Women in Construction group. Her experience, vision, and commitment to workforce development remain key assets to the BRI.
Christine McCabe, now entering another year as BRI Treasurer, made history in 2022 as the first member of the Condominium and Cooperative Advisory Council (CCAC) to be elected to a top officer position. A consistent and effective advocate for co-op and condominium owners, McCabe has worked closely with legislators on critical housing and governance issues while providing steady financial leadership to the organization.
BRI leadership also expressed appreciation for the continued service of its Directors and Trustees and enthusiasm for the year ahead.
“We look forward to continuing our work with our officers, trustees, and advisory councils as we build on our progress and make 2026 another strong and impactful year for the BRI.”
