Join us for our March General Membership Meeting! Our topic will be:
“Building Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency”
Please note our NEW START TIME for the networking reception of 5:00 PM. We’ll have a full hour of networking prior to the program.
The main program will begin at 6:00 PM.
At the federal and state level, policymakers have been telegraphing that our region and nation is moving to a future pivoted away from fossil fuels and towards lower or no-carbon clean energy. Though hot-button issues like gas stoves and gas moratoriums have dominated the news coverage, there are many, many other steps that existing or new buildings can take to reduce energy costs, decrease utility and heating fuel bills for building owners and tenants, and lower greenhouse gas emissions and particulate pollution.
Rachel Carpitella, the Building Decarbonization Program Director for Sustainable Westchester and chair of the highly successful Commercial Clean Heating and Cooling Roundtable Series, will be on hand to talk through practical steps and solutions like resource efficient decarbonization and weatherization strategies, thermal energy networks, demand-response, and app-based solutions to move the real estate and building industry toward a climate-friendly future.
If you are uncomfortable or unable to attend in person, we highly encourage you to watch the live video stream, which will be hosted on Facebook Live at the BRI page:
