BRI and BACI Event: A Review of New York State’s New Energy Codes
Hotel MTK Mount Kisco (One Pat Reilly Way, Mount Kisco, NY 10549)
New York State has implemented stricter building and energy requirements with updates to the Uniform Code and Energy Code that took effect on December 31, 2025. These updates align with the 2021 and 2024 International Code Council (ICC) model codes and introduce significant changes, including higher energy-efficiency standards, requirements for zero-emission heating systems and appliances, measures to reduce thermal bridging, and expanded electrification provisions that largely prohibit the use of fossil fuels in most newly constructed homes.
Who Should Attend?
This program is designed for professionals across the residential construction industry. Builders and remodelers will gain the clarity needed to ensure projects comply with the new codes. Subcontractors and suppliers will learn how the changes impact materials, systems, and business practices, while code officials will strengthen their understanding of the requirements now in effect.
